On Sept 18th , the CCSD celebrated Constitution Day which is a Federal government initiative to observe the adoption of the U.S. Constitution dating back to Sept 17, 1787. Superintendent, Dr. Casey Chambley noted that teachers were doing a great job of teaching citizenship.
Reminder to all students and parents that Wednesday, September 20th will be a staff Professional Development Day with no school for students in the CCSD. We will see you back at school on Thursday, September 21st.

If you failed to send in your picture money today for your fall pictures at Fairfax , you can still purchase online until Wednesday, September 13th. Pictures will be returned in about two weeks. Make-up pictures will be made on October 10th for those students that were absent today. THANK YOU Strawbridge Studios Inc. for being so efficient today!!

Tickets for Grandparent's Day will go home today with our students. Parents, please make sure over the weekend that you get the tickets to the grandparents so they can enjoy this time. Please remember to bring the ticket with you on the ASSIGNED day! Please come to the front doors of the school and staff members will be present to check for your ticket and guide you to the classrooms. The time each day is 8:30-9:15! Tuesday, September 5th (Kdg. and 5th) Wednesday, September 6th (1st, 3rd, and Reynolds) Thursday, September 7th (2nd, 4th, and Pre K) Tickets are no longer available. We are sorry for those that missed out, but we had to stick with the cut off date in order for tickets to be distributed before dismissal.
Parking will be available in the lot in front of the school as well as the parking lot that carport line forms across the street. Please do not park in the area beside the school that is closest to the Barber Shop or you will be towed.
It is once again time for our Charleston Wrap Fundraiser. Students will be bringing home packets today. Orders will ONLY be accepted online for this fundraiser. Please SALE, SALE, SALE to help our school!!! The deadline is September 15th! These items make GREAT presents!
Important Info: Pictures will be pre-order ONLY!! Multiples pictures are taken to ensure a good picture. You can complete order forms and send in to the school between now and 5 days post picture being taken, which will be September 15th. Or you can order online using links below. Fall Pictures are coming on September 8th. Uniforms are REQUIRED. We will be using a new company this year.
